  what will the world be like once this pandemic is over?

  the world has been through this before, in the form of the bubonic plague and it left changes to life still felt today, especially in regards to the economic system.

  so many people dying meant a smaller working class that meant their skills and labour was suddenly more valuable which in turn raised wages.

  Reading everyone's comments this idea of more use of face time, zoom and virtual reality will isolate people even more. I can see the advantages of all this. Time spent in travelling which would cause less pollution. I agree with jojo that economically things will get worse before getting better. I feel the bouncing back of our economy will only be big and middle size business. The mom and pop/small businesses will be a thing of the past.

  What I feel what will happen is the underground economy will become more prevalent. Farm stands, services, flea markets and trading item. This will be one of the main incomes for those with small incomes. Gardening will make a big come back as will as putting up food. My thoughts. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Still Totally ADD

  i don't know that she'd come up with this on her own.

  The person I was talking about has now come down with a high fever. May be the 4th one in our county to come down with the virus. Still Totally ADD

  We have 3 with the virus in our county. A friend of ours was exposed by one of those victims and is in a 21 day quarantine. Our county is one of the very few who have low numbers so far but I feel the numbers will go up very soon. Still Totally ADD

  Back To The Future

  i started to post this to "gorbatchov" question.. the world will not be the same.

  we all know this.. the voice of "christmas future".

  the governments will infuse trillions of dollars into the corporations, not its people.

  About every 70 years or so the economy cycles into a depression which soon turns into war then prosperity again. The cycle can be broke but history shows it has'nt. With every depression comes great prosperity for the rich. Now the fly in the oniment today is how intertwined all the economy's of the world are. Who knows what will happen if all the world went into a deep depression. Will war be the only option? Will world governments work together? Maybe a one world government will evolve from it all, one not run by political leaders but one run by greedy corporations. Enough of my paranoid thoughts.

  Most likely we are headed for a very deep recession with many small and middle size businesses going out of business. My advice is learn how to grow a garden and preserve food. Learn about the medicine chest/weeds you have growing in your back yard live very frugal and learn fundamental skills in house repairing and mechanics. If you live near or in a town get a bicycle or walk. Exercise will do you good. These are things my grandparents told me about what they had to do and more to survive the great depression of the 1930's. Good luck to all. Still Totally ADD

  10 years ago I came on this site scared to death for coming over to the other side. Through the years this site has provided for me emotional and mental growth. Thank you for setting up this site and allowing us to have a safe haven to escape the borg. We may not always agree but it's so good to have you on our side. Again thank you. Still Totally ADD

  the losing jobs and having poor health will be applied for sure in whatever meeting is held.. but i wonder if anyone will connect the middle aged man losing his job and the old and the sick with the way bethelites are treated..

  As this crisis goes from fighting the virus to a very, very deep recession I can see the contribution going down the tubes for the wt. Some Congregation may not have the money to pay any money to the borg. Then what? Kick everyone out lower expectations of cash flow or dip into their billions in off shore accounts.

  This will not end the borg but it could cut into the numbers by those leaving. We can only hope so. Still Totally ADD

  What SHOULD have woken you up ?

  for myself, there is an embarrassingly long list of things that really should really have woken me up, fully.

  it was a long process for me, as a mind controlled born in, things i simply did not agree with, or knew were downright wrong, that built and built, and, eventually i woke up, after 58 bloody years in !.

  but just mainly for fun, what should have woken you up ?.

  Being a born-in it was very difficult to accept anything but the borgs teachings. 1976 should have woke me up, the talk in the mid 80's to debunk Ray's actions, when they started pushing hard the so called faithful slave as the only way to salvation and finally the generation teaching. None of those woke me up it was instead the 2 weeks spent at Bethel working on building that were empty. Go figure! It was the beginning of the end for me to escape the borg. Still Totally ADD
